25 today! I don’t have much energy nowadays to make solid art, but I still wanted to make something for my birthday.

So it turns I’ve had cancer this entire time. We’re looking at stage 2 lymphatic cancer and it has spread from my neck, down to my trachea and next to my heart. Still waiting for the biopsy to figure out exactly what kind of lymphoma it is so that I can start treatment and I literally cannot wait 😭 Even though the prognosis is scary I’m so relieved that this entire time I wasn’t crazy and that I’m dealing with something serious, and not “allergies,” and that this entire time I haven’t been lazy and procrastinating work and losing an interest in art. I’m LITERALLY in survival mode and my body is using up all of its energy to compensate for the extra… stuff I have in me. I shall keep you updated! Sherlock listening to Helen Stoker’s tale of woe.

My final story moment painting with Zollna’s vis dev 1 class from last semester. What a class! I feel like I grew two more hands after those four and half months. It was really magical seeing how everyone did in that class too, I can’t wait to see everyone again this fall.
