Hand drawn & painted teacher appreciation gift. Their classroom theme is Elephant & Piggie by Mo Willems. Now they have bookends to hold the classrooms favorite books! These were so fun to make! I’m so glad that the teacher loved them. So much so, even the principal was raving about them.

I got a few Christmas village houses from my Grandmother. I decided to make this a little more my decor style.

Here are the shoes that my daughter & I made for school!
I saw a woman do this on Instagram (sadly I cannot find her tutorial any longer). Color with permanent marker then paint with rubbing alcohol. Rinse them out & let dry. Then I used the Cricut to cut out her initials & added them to the heel of the shoe.
We had so much fun!

So I decided (after watching The Home Edit on Netflix) to try their suggestion of organizing our children’s books into a rainbow. (Sorry I didn’t think about taking a before shot of the first book shelf.) Although the artist in me is happy, my OCD is overloaded since parts of our collection are now separated (authors don’t keep their book covers in the same color family from one to the next! Plus since many of these books are super thin, there is no text on the spines to be able to identify the book.) So, we will see which side of me wins. Can’t wait to see my rainbow loving kiddo’s reaction when she see’s that they are in rainbow order.
