Oh my word I was nervous!
And it is very apparent that I really struggle to hear the public discus my work (I left and got a wine 😂)but I guess that comes with time.
.
My exhibition cherry is now officially popped and I can’t big up @svnth_crcl enough for taking me through such a new experience with incredible kindness and creative know how. You are total pros!
.
The exhibition will be up from 1st-29th May and is all themed on Birmingham - its beauty and its beast.
.
I knew I’d see my own work up on the wall, but I wasn’t prepared for the incredible artists and artworks I’d be meeting and viewing at the opening night. Just the most interesting people…loved every second of the chats.
.
I know I need to get braver and I’m hoping this isn’t the last I ever do.
.
I entered 2 pieces. The first ‘rise’ a landscape that shows the friction between city growth and community.
The second ‘Birmingham Blossoms’ depicts technology as the beast…and its tendency to pull our senses from the present (the beauty) andI to the addictive nature of the screen.
.
I hope they are both pieces that provoke thought 💜

My ‘Floral Era’ pieces are up @thefloristafouroaks 🌸 and looking so at home!
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to showcase my work. These original pieces were heavily influenced by my late nana (yes I spelt it like that 😅) whose passion was most definitely nurturing - both plants and people. I tried to keep the pieces ‘of an era’ so they felt like going back in time. I think she would have loved them, as do I.
.
I have even managed to create a QR code (I know?! Who am I?!?) and hung it with the artworks, so if you would like to take a piece home with you simply scan the code, pay by phone, show a member of staff and then whisk it away! It’s that easy!
.
And if nothing else they bring some joy to the people who love to sip and chat ☕️
.

When someone asked me to create their wedding invitations I was pretty blown away 😙💨

I’ve done artworks for invitations before but never the graphic design side 🖥️. This was such an honour✨

So here it is - the front and the back of my first ever wedding invite start to finish.

Due to a various reasons the date for my Woodland Watercolour Workshop has changed to Thursday 19th November - which will also be my last class @inji.uk
.
I have contacted all who have already booked and hope the new date is just as free as the first! As it’s my last one I shall be making it super special 🧡🫶
.
If you couldn’t make September, then now is your chance to book on and learn various techniques to achieve a watercolour creation like this.
