Running. Yoga. Mental Health. Three things that have become such a big part of my story, and three things that remind me why I do what I do. Iā€™ve learned that one of the greatest gifts we can give another person is the courage to really see themā€”and sometimes to reflect back the strength, beauty, or possibility they may not be able to see in themselves yet. I try to share my truth, my experiences and the things that have helped me, knowing that everyone ultimately has to discover their own truth. There is so much stigma around the things we carry quietly. Mental health. Anxiety. Physical health. Our pasts. Our struggles. Iā€™ve never wanted mine to be something I had to hide. They are pieces of my story, but they are not my identity. Running has taught me to keep moving. Yoga has taught me to be present. Mental health work has taught me to know myself. And maybe thatā€™s why I love this photo so much. šŸŒ» The path ahead looks brightā€”and Iā€™m still walking it, learning, growing and hopefully planting a few seeds in other people along the way. My shirt is from Own Your Stigmaā ļæ¼, a mental-health apparel project created to encourage conversations around mental health. They even have customizable ā€œ& Mental Healthā€ shirts so you can make the message your own. (Own Your Stigmaā ļæ¼) Own your story. Own your journey. And never be ashamed of the things that helped shape you. šŸŒ»šŸ’š #OwnYourStigma #MentalHealthMatters #RunningYogaMentalHealth #YogaJourney #RunningJourney by @ownyourstigma
Mental health awareness means so much to me because itā€™s something deeply personal. I know what it feels like to fight battles people canā€™t always see, and thatā€™s exactly why speaking up matters. No one should ever feel alone, ashamed, or unheard because of what theyā€™re going through. For me, mental health awareness is about being real, breaking stigma, and showing others that their story matters, even on the hardest days. Itā€™s about turning pain into purpose and using my voice for something bigger than myself. Iā€™m so incredibly proud to say Iā€™m now an ambassador for @ownyourstigma a brand and mission I truly believe in. This means more than just representing something, it means standing for awareness, honesty, and reminding people that healing is possible. Use my code KOA15 to support @ownyourstigma and help spread a message that truly matters Thank you to the best photographer @pop.up.journey #OwnYourStigma #MentalHealthAwareness #BreakTheStigma #selflove #servicedog by @ownyourstigma

Snagged lots of good reads. (Some that have been on my TBR for wayyyyy too long!šŸ•°ļøšŸ“š) Iā€™m a bit overwhelmed with all the book options at times. I donā€™t know where to start!! I ended up scanning the books for @bookofthemonth logos, and used that as a recommendation filter. Grabbed a handful of previous BOTM picks and a few others that caught my eye!! Which book should I read first??šŸ’ #2ndandcharles #bookofthemonth #booksale #usedbooks #bookish by @ownyourstigma
So excited to officially share that Iā€™m an ambassador for Own Your Stigma šŸ¤ @ownyourstigma Mental health is something I care deeply aboutā€”both personally and professionally. I work in mental health, supporting clinics that provide Deep TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), a non-invasive treatment used for conditions like depression, anxiety, ocd, and addiction. Iā€™m also currently working toward my masterā€™s in mental health counseling, because helping people feel seen, supported, and hopeful is what truly lights me up. Books have always been part of that journey for me. All of the stories, fantasy worlds, and characters who survive the impossible helped me through some of my hardest moments. So being able to support a brand that encourages open conversations about mental health while wearing something cozy, bookish, and meaningful feels incredibly full-circle. If this message speaks to you, you can use code EVIESBOOKTEA for 15% off your purchase šŸ¤ Letā€™s keep normalizing the conversationā€”one story, one sweater, one step at a time. https://ownyourstigma.com/?ref=xjjnqotd #fightthestigma #mentalhealth #bookstagram #bookish #booksbooksbooks by @ownyourstigma
I donā€™t take for granted the people who surround me. Every word of encouragement, every share, every referral, every moment of ā€œyouā€™ve got thisā€ it matters. Growing a new business is vulnerable, exciting, and scary all at once, but having a solid village behind me makes me braver. Thank you to my community, my family, and my friends for lifting me up through every step of this journey. #thankful #happythanksgivng #gracias #healingjourney by @ownyourstigma

May is Mental Health Awareness Month šŸ«¶šŸ¼ Being someone that struggles with anxiety daily, itā€™s important to me to spread awareness and make sure others know theyā€™re not alone. Reading in a way has been a huge stress reliever for me and Iā€™ve found over the last few years it has given me an escape from all the things I constantly overthink about. Iā€™m no expert and definitely donā€™t have all the answers, but Iā€™m always here to listen or support anyone that is struggling with their mental health. I love this tshirt from @ownyourstigma, itā€™s so important to be kind to yourself and your mind. A portion of each sale on their site goes towards supporting a local mental health charity. Click the link in my bio to find their site & use code STIGMAFREE15%OFF to get a discount and help spread awareness! ā€¢ ā€¢ ā€¢ #booksta #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #ownyourstigma #anxiety #bookstagram #booklover #mentalwellbeing #bekindtoyourmind #bekindtoyourselfā¤ļø by @ownyourstigma
šŸ˜ @nursecoach.rachel " Reaching out specifically to my fellow heliophiles today. A heliophile is a person who loves the sun. (if nothing resonates with you in this post at least you learned something new today) Iā€™m bringing up seasonal depression (SAD) today because I think a lot of us experience it, but most of us donā€™t really know how to deal with it. Seasonal depression is a feeling of hopelessness, sadness, and fatigue. These winter months are TOUGH for me. Everything in my life can feel like it is in total alignment (my family, friends, & business are thriving) yetā€¦. Iā€™m still feeling so BLAH. Like everything Iā€™m doing and working for is pointless. THIS symptomā€¦the hopelessnessā€¦is a huge red flag for me. I know the SAD is kicking in and there are certain things I have to do to KICK it back out. So these are the tools in my toolboxā€¦ 1. Pray. God is my strength. 2. M O V E my body! 3. Light Therapy (use in the morning-mimics natural sunlight) 4. Talk to someone 5. Turn on music and M O V E my body more 6. Rest. Depression can bring on fatigue and it is OK to listen to our body sometimes and just be. Maybe SAD doesnā€™t hit home for you, but the symptoms remind you of someone you know, go ahead and check in on them. (Women are four times more likely to experience SAD than men) Spring is comingā€¦that sunshine will be here againā€¦give yourself grace during this time. If you need to talk, Iā€™m here. šŸ’—ā˜€ļø #mentalhealthawareness #breakthestigma #sad #seasonaldepression #nurse #wellnesscoach #ownyourstigma #ownyourstigmaambassador " by @ownyourstigma
