Finished this wrap skirt!

Excuse the mess and the land seal. I’m not very aesthetic. I had this fabric from Joann’s (RIP 🥲) for like 3 years. I had to cut A LOT more fabric at the bottom because I’m 5’0 😖. Overall it was an easy and fun pattern just don’t look to hard at my hemming lol

Made the viral butterfly cardigan for my oldest baby girl 🦋

I sized up by using a bigger hook and using a much looser tension than usual. I didn’t carry most of the yarn I just weaved in the ends. When I steamed it, it relaxed a lot and got about two sizes bigger (oops) but that’s perfect because she loves baggy fitting clothes and the cardigan will fit for another couple of years. Altogether it took me two weeks to complete!

Finally finished my first adult-sized sweater/color work with knitting! Took me about two months. I worked on it every chance I got when I wasn’t on mom duty 😀

I learned A LOT:
1. Apparently gauge swatches DO matter 😐
2. Using two different yarn weights really affects the size and shape of the project
3. When a cat rips a hole in a sleeve, the fix is surprisingly easy.
4. Weaving in a gazillion ends looks so much cleaner than carrying the yarn.
5. Loose bind-offs are a must for collars. But I refuse to learn the Italian bind-off.
6. When working in a round, continental knitting is top tier but when working in flat rows using English style for purling makes the stitches look better.
7. Using the correct length for the circular needles saves a shit ton of time and headaches.
8. Dare I say it? I prefer double pointed needles over small circular k needles for sleeves and collars 🫣
9.I love knitting but crochet still has my heart ❤️
