POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

my parents keep asking me what this “snail mail club” thing is… 🐌💌

so if you’re wondering too:

a snail mail club is a monthly letter subscription. Instead of receiving another blue envelope (the dutch get it 🇳🇱💌) you receive real mail — something to open, read, collect, and keep.

each month, I explore a different art style and create a themed package inspired by the little things that make life feel worth living.

every issue includes:
✦ a personal letter
✦ a themed art print
✦ stickers
✦ monthly surprises

a tiny piece of wonder delivered to your mailbox. by @oxorca.nl

13, 14, 15 and 16.✦ ݁˖ windmill, crayon, sun, and moon #13of31 #14of31 #15of31 #16of31

i had to take a little health break from the challenge, so to get back on track, days 13, 14, 15, and 16 somehow ended up in one drawing!

when i saw the prompts windmill, crayon, sun, and moon, my mind immediately went to don quixote and sancho panza.

don quixote is as much the night as sancho is the day. but somehow, the exact opposite is just as true!

i also made a separate drawing for the crayon prompt, so if i manage to finish it, i might share that one too. .✦ ݁˖ by @oxorca.nl

turns out, having too many hobbies isn’t exactly a business strategy. who knew? 🫠

i started every brilliant thing to celebrate the little things that make life worth living. somewhere along the way, i got a little distracted trying every art form i could get my hands on.

no regrets though. i loved every experiment. but i’m learning that running a creative business takes more than just making things you love.

so here’s to figuring things out, changing what doesn’t work, and sharing the messy parts too. because we see enough success stories around here, don’t we?

same girl, too many hobbies, slightly better plan. 💌

stick around for more creative experiments, little life lessons, and hopefully some progress.

and if you’d like a little happiness delivered to your mailbox every month, you can join my mail club through the link in my bio. 💌

12.✦ ݁˖ bramble #12of31

pick the wrong bramble and you might discover the forest has a rather strange sense of humour. 🫐🍇 and if you are good, you may just catch a glimpse of the Smurfs. 🍄👀

10.✦ ݁˖ compass #10of31

my favorite thing about autumn? going mushroom hunting. 🍄

inspired by my little woodland adventures, i drew this compass for anyone who believes the best treasures are hidden somewhere between mossy trees and fallen leaves.

a little reminder to take the scenic route, get lost in the woods, and follow the mushrooms. 🍂

9.✦ ݁˖ flowerbed #9of31

i drew an ofrenda. 🌼

what a beautiful way to honor and remember the ones we’ve lost.

maybe this isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you hear “flowerbed,” but coco is one of my all-time favorite films, and with día de los muertos just around the corner, i couldn’t resist drawing this colorful little scene.

i hope one day i’ll get to experience this beautiful tradition in mexico, surrounded by all those flowers, colors, and memories. 🧡

8.✦ ݁˖ sticker #8of31

i came to the netherlands for a new life 😂 all jokes aside, i love having my favourite people over. but maybe it’s time to accept that we’re getting older and 9 pm doesn’t sound so early anymore. 🥲

7.✦ ݁˖ bubble #7of31

a tiny bath-time joy: making bubbles and waiting for them to pop. 🫧

i’d never drawn a bubble before, so this was a first for me too. i hope i managed to catch a little bit of that oddly satisfying, childish kind of fun.

6.✦ ݁˖ plum #6of31

i was really tired today, but i didn’t want to skip the challenge.

so i made today’s drawing in my phone’s notes app, just using my finger.

it was silly, simple, and much more fun than i expected.

a tiny reminder that making something doesn’t always need to be complicated.apparently finger painting still works in your 30s.🌝
