Did you know that 6% of tradies globally buy a new chisel every single week? After just five days of use, the entire wood chisel is thrown out and replaced.

In response, we developed the world’s first heavy-duty construction chisel with replaceable tips.

This journey began with research. We visited over 25 job sites with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, cabinet makers, and more. We also surveyed 1,500+ tradespeople from around the world.

Some of the standout testimonials included:
“I wouldn't bother sharpening it; I’d just buy a new one.”
“I spend ages sharpening it, then go and accidentally smash it into a wall.”
“It’s so frustrating to replace a chisel just because you damaged it one time.”

With these insights, we set out to address the core frustrations. What followed was hundreds of sketches, 3D-printed prototypes, engineering validation, and manufacturing trials until we finally arrived at a product ready for job sites around the world.

The OX Replaceable Tip Chisel is:
✔️ Slimmer for everyday carry
✔️ Built with a steel through-tang
✔️ Able to be traditionally sharpened
✔️ Can be used on a flat surface
✔️ Features a replaceable striking cap (a common failure point)
✔️ The holster stores two spare tips, Allen key and replacement bolts
