Thank you, @nylonmag 🌸🙏♥️, for sharing my rollercoaster ride to becoming a model.

Two years ago, I stepped into this industry and left my life in Canada, with no idea where this journey would take me. Since then, every day feels like a new dream.

I still remember turning 25 and feeling the fear that I might be too late to become a model. For a moment, that doubt did try to hold me back. But I’m grateful the universe somehow made a way and gently guided me toward the path I was meant to walk.

Having the opportunity to work with incredible brands, artists, photographers, designers, and teams who trusted me to be a small part of their vision has been such a gift. Every experience still feels a little magical. ✨

This past year alone has been filled with moments I once only imagined.💗

To everyone who has supported me, believed in me, booked me, guided me, challenged me, and cheered me on along the way, “Thank you” 🤍🙏🫶

The girl from Punjab who once dreamed of seeing the world through creativity is still here, still learning, still growing, and still deeply grateful.

Here’s to every opportunity, every lesson, every set, every city, every person I’ve met along the way, and to whatever beautiful chapters are waiting ahead.

I often sit back and reflect on life, my actions, and my environment. Looking back a year ago, everything seemed like chaotic waves, an unending series of unpleasant events. I forgot that beneath these waves, there is depth. The ocean is deep and full of gifts. I just had to ride in, dive in, or perhaps even drown in. Lost in the chaos, I found my truth, and perhaps more than that. In the chase for the destination, I discovered that the journey itself is the only destination.

Now, as I look back, I see that every twist and turn, every moment of despair, was a step towards understanding. The struggles weren’t just obstacles; they were integral parts of my growth. Each wave I navigated taught me resilience, each storm strengthened my resolve. The depth of the ocean, once terrifying, became a source of profound wisdom.

In embracing the journey, I found peace in the uncertainty, strength in the struggle, and joy in the discovery. The path was never about reaching a specific endpoint but about experiencing the fullness of each moment. It’s in this journey that I found not just my truth, but the richness of life itself. by @oyejogan
