Join us for a special performance by Marc Armitano Domingo ( @botticelliangels ) on October 10 at 7pm 🎶 part of our current group exhibition The Tower, curated by Adam Liam Rose.

During the performance, Domingo will play the salterio (a once highly esteemed instrument during the 18th century), and the French baroque bass viola da gamba (one of the most important chamber instruments during the courts of Louis XIV and XV).

tickets are $20 or $10 for students- LINK IN BIO

Marc Armitano Domingo (b. 1996) is a multidisciplinary artist based in California who works in oil painting, porcelain, and historical performance on the salterio and viola da gamba. His practice confronts the cultural amnesia that allows once important traditions to disappear, recovering forgotten forms and asking why time allowed them to fall into oblivion taken in Ortega y Gasset Projects by @oygprojects

The Tower, a group exhibition curated by OyG co-director and artist, @adamliamrose is open Saturday and Sunday from 1-6pm ✨

Pictured - first image left: @tura__oliveira Two Aristocrats Surveying a Landscape, 2026. oil stick on wall (mural in The Skirt); right: #NickNaber Tower (unctuous), 2016. colored pencil graphite on printmaking paper, 22 x 15 inches (55.88 x 38.1 cm) unframed. Second image left: @forprophet East Side Dispatch #2, 2025. oil on panel, 10 x 10 inches (Tondo)

The Tower brings together the work of artists exploring the various symbolic archetypes of the vertical structure, ranging from human aspiration toward the divine, to psychological connections with catastrophe. It is the Tower of Babel, symbolizing ego and the friction of miscommunication; it is the sixteenth card of the Tarot, representing a moment of sudden upheaval, confusion, and extreme change; and it is the panopticon, taking on the form of a “godly” overseer—the all-seeing and unavoidable lens of modern surveillance.

Through painting, drawing, sculpture, textile, ceramic, performance, video and photography, artists in The Tower navigate these ideas through both abstraction and figuration. From literal stone structures to psychological boundaries, the tower evokes our desire to transcend the earthly, and the simultaneous danger and freedom in forgetting our foundations.
