Many give less importance to the set up and buildup of events. In the actual sense, that segment carries a life, a story that cannot be remade: the level of preparation and energy it took to make the event a success.

People say the Earth is beautiful, and I couldn’t agree more.
But for me, it’s more than beauty: it’s awareness.
I don’t just exist here. I live with the consciousness of the world around me... and the universe above me.
The blue skies. The dancing clouds. The sunsets that quietly end our busiest days. The moon that watches over every night. The eagle that reminds us what freedom looks like.
And on clear nights, when Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars reveal themselves, I’m reminded that we’re part of something infinitely bigger.
So when I create, I’m not just capturing moments on Earth. I’m preserving tiny conversations between us and the universe.

The best kind of reunions are the ones that brings an entire circle together. After 11 years, the wait was finally over. Abuja felt a little more complete.
I spent the evening behind the lens, capturing every moment so they can all look back at this night for the next 11 years and still feel the exact same joy 🤩

Attending the 2025 Abuja Photo Festival was a refreshing reminder of why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

The exhibition featured breathtaking works from both Nigerian and international photographers and artists; each frame telling powerful stories about lifestyle, cultural heritage, and the beauty of urban and rural living. What stood out to me most was how happiness found its way into almost every story. It reminded me that no matter where we come from, joy remains a universal language.

One of my favourite moments was meeting Ed Kashi, a world-renowned documentary photographer and visual storyteller whose works capture humanity with depth and empathy. I took the chance to have a short but meaningful conversation with him because when you meet someone with that kind of portfolio and experience, you align yourself and listen.

He spoke about the importance of self-projection. How we must show the world our work and our worth: “If you’re good and nobody knows about it, then it would be a waste.”

That struck a chord with me. As someone building his photography journey step by step, those words reminded me that talent is only the beginning: visibility and courage matter too.

I also listened to Emeka Amafor of Bedge Pictures share his journey photography. His honesty about the struggles and breakthroughs of finding his path was inspiring. He quoted Jay-Z saying: “Don’t listen to anyone. Everybody is scared. Everyone tells you how things worked out—but it worked out for them that way.”

That line stayed with me. It was a nudge to keep trusting my own process, because every creative journey is unique.

Even though I had to leave early due to a busy day, I left with so much value and inspiration. Every story I heard, every photo I saw, and every word I absorbed pushed me to keep growing, keep learning, and keep showing up with my lens.

This is just the beginning of my journey, to tell stories that reflect life, emotion, and the beauty of everyday people and by the next edition, I’m coming in as an established photographer and exhibiting my work for the world to see upclose.

The sun wasn’t just out—it was perfect. Its rays filtered gently through the clouds and buildings, casting a soft glow that made the city feel alive… like it was breathing.
