Full circle | Back in September 2019, I unboxed my first full frame @sonyphinc camera, a modest A7II. At that time it was a big investment, full frame cameras don’t come cheap, I promised myself to make the most out of it.

A week after I got my new gear, I joined a photo safari to shoot the coastline of Quezon province - shooting mangroves, sea stacks, piers and a like. Posted a few photos from that trip on my socials, and didn’t think much of it after.

Fast forward to early 2023, I had been organising a group photo exhibition in the Philippine Center in New York City, and wanted to debut my Quezon coastal series. I wanted to highlight my passion for fine art landscape photography by executing a very cohesive storyline - a serene, muted and emotive landscape.

The images resonated with a buyer, and I found myself having to prep, print and frame a total of 232 prints that would be displayed in all the suites of a five-star hotel in Samal Island.

Beyond floored and thankful for the appreciation of my art.

Worth a Second Plate — Hoi An & Da Nang 🇻🇳

Our group chat was called Pho-Ty.

Part pun, part milestone, entirely accurate.

A new decade with high school friends and family, spent chasing coconut coffee, steaming bowls of mì Quảng, smoky grilled pork, fresh seafood, and meals we’d still be talking about long after the flight home.

Worth a Second Plate — Taipei 🇹🇼

I’ve realized I don’t really choose destinations… I choose meals.
Travel just happens around them.

how it seasons, how it serves, how long it asks you to wait,

Theth feels like a village lifted straight from a fairytale, hidden deep in the Albanian Alps. The ride to get there is not for the faint-hearted—an hour of narrow, winding roads that test your nerves—but every turn brings you closer to something extraordinary.

Life in Theth follows the steady pace of the valley. The Balkans move at their own rhythm.
Laundry drying outside stone homes, boats drifting lazily along the coast, and quiet neighborhoods that pause mid-day for siesta. Streets paved in cobblestones carry stories centuries old, while evenings are filled with raki, kumquat liqueur, house wine, olives, and seafood fresh from the sea.

A glimpse into the slow life—unhurried, grounded, and beautifully simple.
