הפעם הראשונה שאני מצביע מחוץ לישראל, והפעם הראשונה כדיפלומט. רגע מיוחד מאוד, ולא מובן מאליו. 🇮🇱

One of those days that captures just how varied diplomatic work can be.

After casting my ballot as part of Israel's early voting at missions abroad, it was straight back to work with a visiting delegation from Israel's Ministry of Justice, meeting Serbian counterparts and continuing a very practical professional dialogue.

We ended the day at the official opening of the Pupin Wind Farm, the second phase of the Kovačica wind complex, built through the long-standing partnership between Israel's Enlight Renewable Energy and Serbia's New Energy Solutions. 🇮🇱🇷🇸

Three very different moments in one day: exercising a democratic right, building professional cooperation, and seeing Israeli know-how and investment contributing to Serbia's renewable energy future.

A full day, in the best sense.

A little Israeli cyber pride in Belgrade today. 🇮🇱🇷🇸

Great to welcome our very own Daniel Martin from Israel’s Cyber7 on his first visit to Serbia.

After a morning of meetings with Mihailo Jovanović, Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment and our partners at Hub201, Daniel took the stage tonight at the launch of Serbia’s Cybersecurity Alliance.

Watching representatives from dozens of Serbian companies photograph his slides, ask questions and think about what they could learn from the Israeli experience was a pretty special moment.

Sharing knowledge is one of the best ways to build real partnerships. And today, it felt very tangible. 🇮🇱🤝🇷🇸

Two very full days in Belgrade. 🇮🇱🇷🇸

From political consultations with our Serbian counterparts and discussions with local think tanks, to economic diplomacy and the launch of the new Israel-Serbia Chamber of Commerce.

Different conversations and different settings, but all working towards the same goal: bringing Israel and Serbia even closer together. 🇮🇱🤝🇷🇸

A busy couple of days, and a great way to head into the Jewish New Year. 🍎🍯

One month in Belgrade 🇮🇱🇷🇸

Still getting to know the city, meeting new people and discovering something new about Serbia almost every day.

Ending the weekend by the Sava before another busy week begins. by @oznackar

It was an honor to take part today in the commemoration in Zrenjanin, remembering the Jewish men, women and children of the city and the wider Banat region who were deported during the Holocaust.

As the grandson of Holocaust survivors, moments like this carry a deeply personal meaning. Standing here is also a reminder that the responsibility to preserve memory crosses generations, communities and borders.

I deeply appreciate the care and respect with which the memory of Zrenjanin’s Jewish community continues to be preserved.

We remember. We honor. We carry their memory forward.

A first week in Belgrade should probably end where so many conversations in Serbia begin: at the football.
A 2–0 Hapoel Be’er Sheva win over Red Star, a place in the Champions League playoff round, and a Serbian striker scoring the opening goal.
A pretty great way to spend an evening in our new home, especially with my girls. ❤️
It has been an exciting first week as Deputy Chief of Mission, made even better by an incredible embassy team and the warm welcome my family and I have received in Serbia.
One week in. 🇮🇱🇷🇸
