56 YEARS OF PARANOID.

September 18, 1970.

56 years ago, Black Sabbath released an album that would become one of the defining records of heavy metal.

Eight tracks. No filler. Just pure Black Sabbath.

Perry Mason

Back to the 90s this time. 🤘

Sandra and I take on Ozzy Osbourne – “Perry Mason”, the opening track from Ozzmosis (1995).

This album marked Ozzy’s return after his “No More Tours” period, and what a lineup he assembled for it: Zakk Wylde on guitar, Geezer Butler on bass, Deen Castronovo on drums and Rick Wakeman on keyboards. Pretty insane combination when you think about it. 🔥

And here’s a cool one: “Perry Mason” wasn’t simply recorded once and released. It was originally worked on with producer Michael Wagener, but after the record company pushed for a different direction, Michael Beinhorn took over and several tracks — including “Perry Mason” — were re-recorded. There are actually earlier versions of the song floating around from those sessions.

A killer Ozzy track that deserves way more love.

So we had to play it. 🖤

What’s YOUR favorite track from Ozzmosis? by @ozzycreatives

56 years ago today, Black Sabbath released Paranoid.

It’s still one of the most iconic tracks in heavy metal history and a solo that still sounds as powerful today as it did in 1970.
