Their sound has been described as “a non-human, constantly morphing roar; traces of guitar or saxophone occasionally surface, yet most often dissolve into the chaos.” Their debut album landed via Utech Records (US) in 2021. In 2023, they joined Alex Buess and Merzbow for Aural Corrosion, released by WV Sorcerer Productions. 2024 saw the release of their double CD Sonic Oblivion, a collaborative release from Utech Records and WV Sorcerer Productions. Spring 2025 saw Utech release their live cassette Leviathan, hailed as “a relentless attack” and “a pure apocalyptic wall of sound.” Later that year, P/O MASSACRE paired with Tomorrow I Feel Wrong for Witness Wounds on French avant-garde label Arsenic Solaris. Now, Shoumon Productions presents a brand-new P/O MASSACRE cassette: a live recording captured at Model T in Moscow, Russia, back in 2018. The tape was remastered by James Plotkin. Witness Wounds — Witness Wounds (2025) Witness Wounds is where four singular musical voices collide to create something raw, unpredictable and deeply engrossing. Formed by the meeting of two duos from distinct artistic worlds, the project blurs the lines between noise, free improvisation, performance and experimental music, resulting in a sound that is both visceral and meticulously crafted. On one side, Tomorrow I Feel Wrong unites Sara Trawöger and Kristin Gerwien, long-time collaborators known for their unique blend of poetic intensity and sonic experimentation. On the other side, P/O Massacre, the duo of Anton Ponomarev and Anton Obrazeena — has carved out a reputation across Europe’s experimental and noise scenes for their high-voltage performances. A downtuned wall of distortion so thick you can almost scoop it up in your hands and rub it on your face. This is an immersive world of pure sound that fills the room as easily as it empties out your skull using knife-sharp and grave-deep guitar noises by Obrazeena, apocalyptic electronics and shrill saxophone avalanches by Ponomarev, alongside electroacoustic textures and found sounds. This Saturday, November 9th! Sonic Oblivion in Hinterraum Lisbon: P/O Massacre & Aleksey Tumakov. P/O Massacre There have been bands called Massacre before, but this one is unlike any that preceded them. P/O Massacre is a duo of two established musicians – saxophonist and electronics player Anton Ponomarev and guitarist Anton Obrazeena. A downtuned wall of distortion so thick you can almost scoop it up in your hands and rub it on your face. This is an immersive world of pure sound that fills the room as easily as it empties out your skull using knife-sharp and grave-deep guitar noises by Obrazeena, apocalyptic electronics and shrill saxophone avalanches by Ponomarev, alongside electroacoustic textures and found sounds. Aleksey Tumakov Aleksey started his sound journey as a drone ambient sound artist and took this part into harsh noise iteration after the decade. Taking inspiration on power electronics, primal psychodelia, new age landscaping and harsh noise. Sometimes, without deliberately staying in one state, performances can evoke completely different sensations. Doom electronics with open gate expressions and meditation after bulldozer crash.
