#FatJoe is speaking from the heart about the community that raised him, and he’s bringing attention to some heartbreaking situations happening in the #Bronx!

The Bronx native opened up about his commitment to giving back, particularly to elderly residents, while addressing the recent #ICE detention of a local food pantry founder and the tragic killing of a 15-year-old boy.

Joe discussed the situation involving #AleksanderNilaj, founder of the Open Hand Food Pantry, who was detained by ICE during an immigration hearing. The pantry, which reportedly served up to 8,000 people every month, has since suspended food distributions.

He also addressed the heartbreaking death of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong, who was fatally shot in broad daylight while walking to school on October 29. The teenager had moved to the United States from Ghana just a year earlier in hopes of building a better future.

Through his community outreach and continued advocacy, Fat Joe is bringing attention to the struggles facing families in his hometown. (SWIPE)
