PART 6 OF 12 ✶ keeping my apps secure AI said my app was secure. It wasn’t 🫠 So now I have multiple agents try to poke holes in my code before I ship it. I made a security skill that checks for mistakes the models keep missing, including users being able to edit their own usage limits. That’s the exact issue that got my app hacked. Then I run Fable 5.1 on High in Claude Code and GPT-6 Astra on High in Codex. They review the code, challenge each other’s findings, and go through another round after the fixes. That’s the adversarial review part. After that, Greptile reviews the pull requests. It’s really thorough and catches things both agents sometimes miss. Having another review at that stage has been worth paying for. This is a catch-all, and my rough estimate is that it catches around 90% of the common issues. I still wouldn’t treat a clean AI review as proof that everything is secure. But I do need to warn you about the cost. I’m on a $200/month plan for Codex and another $200/month plan for Claude Code, plus Greptile. I’m using expensive models and giving them more time to think. For some of my apps with a lot of users, that’s worth it. These are products people are paying for and trusting with their data. I think having agents running 24/7, auditing code and double-checking changes, is going to become much more common. Companies like OpenAI are already using AI agents internally to find security vulnerabilities. My biggest worry is the cost. Hopefully this gets a lot more affordable, because I’d love for this kind of review to become a normal part of building an app. Comment “security” and I’ll send you the skill.
I still can’t believe this is real!!
