Squatober Day 22 for Thursday Oct 22nd. Day 22 starts off with some waves to conquer. Please do them in the order that it is written and also please pay attention to the rest times on each wave as it is different. Even though it is written on the sheet, I will still say it again, you only go through each wave one time. And there are only a total of 27 reps for the back squat session. Great day on the bench press to get some good strength work with 80%. Hold yourself accountable to the two minute rest times. Medium intensity on the barbell RDL‘s. What you warrant as medium intensity is at your discretion. In my eyes, somewhere between light and heavy. Simple. We’ve got some walking lunges in the program for the first time and it is five steps with each leg. Also note that I have advised a light intensity. Nothing better than some pulled pork sandwiches and coleslaw. Get out and get your steps and work on getting that sleep so we can all get strong. Just another day of BASIC STRENGTH TRAINING. @penandpaperstrengthapp @sorinex_squatober #squatober #squats #strong #strengthtraining

Geese take the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive” and completely tear it apart, turning the disco classic into a chaotic, noisy, wonderfully unhinged performance. Cameron Winter’s ragged vocals and the band’s jagged instrumentation strip away the original’s polished groove, replacing it with something loose, abrasive, and unpredictable. Rather than simply covering the song, Geese reshape it into their own strange musical world.

The performance was recorded for La Blogothèque in 2022, before Geese became one of the most talked-about bands in contemporary indie rock. Known for combining post-punk, art rock, and experimental songwriting, the Brooklyn band have built their identity around restless arrangements and a willingness to embrace imperfection. Their version of “Stayin’ Alive” captures that spirit perfectly, showing just how far a familiar song can be pushed when a band refuses to play it safe.
