Long before digital effects transformed cinema, Hollywood relied on the uncompromising discipline of artists who could actually perform the impossible. In MGM’s 1954 classic Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, director Stanley Donen and visionary choreographer Michael Kidd united an extraordinary roster of ballet and Broadway dancers—including Tommy Rall, Russ Tamblyn, and Jacques d’Amboise.  By seamlessly weaving ballet, jazz, acrobatics, and folk-inspired movement into the dramatic arc, the choreography did more than entertain; it defined the characters. Over seventy years later, these breathtaking sequences remain an immortal tribute to the strength, artistry, and peerless craftsmanship of Golden Age Hollywood.  #SevenBridesForSevenBrothers #ClassicHollywood #DanceHistory #StanleyDonen #GoldenAgeOfHollywood
overdressed is such an ugly word 💋
So few squares, so much to say 🤍 We celebrated Marea with some of our favorite women at the opening dinner of the Marea Market experience at @graybarns this past week. This was a brand new concept for us, and it felt so good to be where our roots are, at home in Connecticut 🫶🏻 The dinner had such good vibes, so warm and welcoming, cozy, with so many friends of the brand in attendance. **pinch me is this real life** I’m incredibly grateful to the community who consistently shows up to build us up, and also to my amazingly talented and dedicated team who pulled this event off with such attention to detail and a whole lot of love. I’d be nowhere without their support 🤍 (more to come with only 20 squares I have so much more to share!!) And to credit our amazing event partners who helped make this beautiful event happen: @lamaisonfete @brianwilliamsevents @wildfigfloral @birchlane @thepopperyny @social.alchemy @graybarns @petuniarosechina @socialdecor @roonee_bespoke_celebrations @luxeeventrentals @horizonsctsn @hellolebon @ndstudio_events @drawbridgedesignstudio @lefeels_ @samwoolfmusic @kt.sura @longfieldfarmct @potterybarn
