Yesterday I kicked off #LunarNewYear festivities by hosting a #potluck and cookbook #propswap with @thefeedfeed at #feedfeed #brooklyn 🏮🎋🌱
.
I love hosting #gatheringslikethese to catch up with my #nycfoodie friends and make new ones too. Big thanks to everyone who came and brought so many beautiful and delicious eats, and thank you to all the sponsors for the space, drinks, and take home goodies 🌟😍
.
#ChineseNewYear foods are loaded with positive symbolic meanings, so I prepared these #LongevityNoodles with #daikon #zoodles, shiitake mushrooms and peanuts, all which symbolize a long life; carrots for good luck; onion for cleverness; pea shoot #sprouts for unity 💕 .
.
It's also tradition to give your house a good #springclean before the new year to make room for the good luck to enter in new year. The cookbook / prop swap was a perfect chance to #repurpose items and also fun to pick up something #newtoyou to enjoy. I know everyone got something that made them happy! 🍍💜 .
.
Grateful to @thefeedfeed team @thenonchalantcook @rachbarb for everything, it was a perfect way to spend a rainy Saturday. Now to #konmari there rest of the house today ✨
