This was a commissioned gift. And one to me, to, it turns out.

First, because it was an actual paid job from a non-family or friend (albeit thru work connections 😉).

Second, it's a wonderful first-of-the-year post.

Third, it was a (literally) in-my-face reminder to ignore the naggy thoughts of, 'I can't' or 'who am I fooling?'. It actually helps to think of future me as someone who needs now me. Without too much TMI... this is the mindset I want to spend 2024 in.
