👋🏼 Hi there! It’s been a minute since a lil intro, and we’ve got some new faces here, so it seems a perfect time.

✨ My name’s Heather, the one-woman show behind Cocoro Studios, born and raised in southern Louisiana! 🦞

✨ My metalsmithing journey began in Oregon in 2016. I had enrolled in a fundamentals of metalsmithing course during a challenging time in my life, in effort to invest in myself, process, and just to keep going and growing. Through creating metalwork by hand, I found new sense of empowerment and they were like little piece of armor as I rebuilt my life. I continued with lots of self-study and Cocoro Studios was born in 2018! 🪷

✨ I was an ESL Teacher for nearly a decade, and my students and learning from one another was seriously one of the best parts 🌎 💜 I’ve taken a step back for now, but still do some part time TA and tutoring.

✨ I live for “the little things” in life:: sunsets, coffee, a sun beam, a cats purrr, plants, the sound of wind through trees, a candle flame, a perfect avocado, morning hugs, and on and on and on…
•
✨Nature and animals have a special place in my heart 💜 🌲 ⛰ 🐱 🐕 🦥 🐘 I often consider leaving the city and living in the forest with the woodland creatures and my little family & turn more and more into a wizardly hobbit, so I’m sure it’s just an eventual reality… 🧙‍♀️
