This time last week some of the Scribbleroom team were just getting started on this years Cardiff Quickdraw! It was a roller coaster of emotion, but they managed this lovely little short piece by the end of the 48 hours. We hope you enjoy it as much as the team did making it!

For Kasseem Dean, the Grammy Award-winning rapper and producer best known as @SwizzBeatz, furniture and family go hand in hand. He remembers, as a kid growing up in the Bronx, the squeak of the plastic that covered his grandmother’s couch and the ritual that accompanied her record cabinet, which also conveniently concealed adults-only barware. ‘Furniture’s always been a language of family,’ Dean tells Wallpaper* from his home in Harlem, one of several the mogul owns alongside his wife, fellow Grammy-winner Alicia Keys. ‘For me growing up, it was like, “Come sit down, come have a talk.” But furniture was always to be respected as well.’ As he launches new a new furniture collection – Casa Dean – for @CB2, we meet the polymath to hear all about its origins. A little over 48hrs in San Francisco..
A familiar favorite takes on a new form... ☁️ A little glimpse of what’s to come. Any guesses? Comment “SOFT” to be the first to know when it drops.
Ancient stones. And a prayer for a better future. My fifth visit to the Western Wall, and it still stops me in my tracks. A surviving retaining wall of the Second Temple complex, carrying more than 2,000 years of history, and a Jewish connection to Jerusalem that reaches back even further. Jerusalem is sacred to Jews, Christians and Muslims. That should inspire respect for one another. Religious or not, there’s something here I wish everyone could experience. And getting to see it from this perspective was a privilege I don’t take lightly. Before we let a headline or a comment section teach us to hate an entire people, let’s learn their history. Listen to their stories. And, if we have the opportunity, visit and meet them. You can care deeply about Israelis and Palestinians. You can stand against antisemitism and stand for Palestinian dignity and safety. None of those things should be in conflict. Most of what I prayed for will stay between me and God. But I’ll share this: I prayed for peace for Israelis and Palestinians, for Jews around the world, and for everyone living with fear. May we all do more than pray for it. May we help make it possible.
Everyone please join me in wishing this beautiful and very gorgeous woman a Happy Birthday!! I love you sweetheart and hope you have the best day ever❤️😘
