Pastor Israel Idowu arrested for S+xΒ₯ally Abusing his stepdaughter from age 14 till she became 16 and threatened to k+ll her if she tells anyone The Ogun State Police Command has detained a Celestial Church pastor, Omogbolahan Israel Idowu, over allegations that he s+xΒ₯ally abused his 16-year-old stepdaughter. According to SaharaReporters, the arrest followed a petition by the Lagos State branch of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), which accused the pastor of abusing the girl from age 14 and threatening to k+ll her if she reported the alleged abuse. In a petition dated October 26, 2026, addressed to the Shimawa Police Division, CDHR alleged that the abuse began after the teenager’s mother, Bukola Rachel Omogbolahan, married Idowu and moved with her children into his residence in the Ologbo Ark area of Shimawa. The organisation claimed that the alleged abuse continued after the girl turned 16, leaving her and her elder brother fearful for their safety. CDHR said the police invited the suspect, his wife and another Celestial Church pastor after receiving the petition. The suspect and the victim’s mother were subsequently detained after their statements were obtained. The teenager was also taken to Shimawa General Hospital on October 28 for medical examinations, with the results handed over to investigators. According to CDHR, the case files were transferred to the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Eleweran on October 30 before the matter was moved to the D3 Gender Unit in Oke-Ilewo. The organisation further alleged that Idowu admitted to s+xual contact with the teenager during questioning, claiming he told investigators that he had β€œonly f+ngered her once and only had s+x with her once.” CDHR said the pastor remained in detention as investigations continued and that it would be informed of his arraignment after the investigation was concluded.
no tricks but here’s your treat
One week to go until USS 2026, Jakarta! Almost a decade into this journey, and there’s still so much we’re excited to share. We’ve come a long way since the beginning, and it’s been incredible to see how much USS has grown with the support of our brands, communities, and everyone who’s been with us throughout the years. This year, we’re welcoming over 300 curated brands, including more participants from our neighboring countries. Our Women’s Section is growing bigger than ever, alongside exclusive collaborations, special releases, music, art, and plenty of new experiences we’ve been working on. A lot has changed over the years, but the excitement of bringing everyone together remains the same. And none of this would be possible without the continued support of @bankbri_id, @simpati, @heinekenid, our collaborators @satucollective & @convert.id, participating brands, and every single person who has supported USS throughout the years. We’re grateful for how far we’ve come, and even more excited for what’s ahead. One more week. Let’s make this one to remember! Year 3. 24 hours later, the first picture STILL describes this year in 1,000 words. I’m so grateful & blessed. God, THANK YOU for allowing me to play another season full of health, love, passion, joy, community, and so much more. When I pray before every game, I thank God for ALL the highs & lows because I truly mean it. I’m still numb from how it ended, but I realize not many get to experience this in just their 3rd year in the league. I’m BEYOND PROUD & have absolutely NOTHING to hang my head about. Every loss is a lesson & sometimes it’s not NO, just NOT YET. Delayed, not denied. Trust me, I’m HUNGRY for more. Having a historic career year was special, but being surrounded by people who genuinely love & care about me meant even more. To my team, I LOVE YOU. To the fans, THANK YOU! To my REAL friends & family, you’ve been my rock my entire life. We win together & we lose together. WE WILL BE BACK. Atlanta, you’ve meant the world to me in just 7 months. I pray I get to experience this kind of joy forever. β™₯️ Back to work! See y’all in 6 months. ⏰ Mom, I’m so grateful I got to experience this moment with you. Every high, every low, every emotion, you’ve been right here. I love you more than words could ever explain. πŸ–€
I’m absolutely PeaNUTS for Snoopy and Charlie Brown. Love, Lucy
