A technique I like to use when I need a different snare sound. An alternative to using slate trigger, the analog way.

Duplicate Snare Track, put a trim and set it to -16.

Pro tools HARDWARE INSERT

Patch on the patch bay from SSL Insert Send into the the speaker.

Sm7b into 1073 back into SSL Insert Return on patch bay

Hit float and Direct at the bottom of the channel turn fader up to desired level in PT.
