Like every other PCM, relocation was the only option I had, at least, to a Western state.
Behold and lo,๐17th came and I had to embark on my journey. By now y'all already know my state of deployment, right? That's right! The Pearl of Tourism - Bauchi State.
May I add here, that it took almost 24 hours to decide on how I would arrive Bauchi. Joined and created group chats to mobilize PCMs from Lagos to Bauchi. On that Tuesday, I got so many routes and options on how to reach Bauchi, that it became quite difficult to select a choice. Special shoutout to @micky_python Thank you Mike for putting up with my troubles that day๐
Alas, I came across a travel agent that specializes in conveying PCMs to the gate of their various orientation camps, did I say gate? Yeah, you heard rightly! This means it is a straight bus from the point of entry down to your very orientation camp, and of course, for different states like that.
I am a Nigerian, of course, I had my fears.๐ But with the help of the Holy Spirit, I settled for @campdirecttravels (this is not a sponsored post - they're aren't even heard enough) I can say there was no better means to have gotten to Wailo - of course, flight aside ๐
Wednesday was here, my mum and myself couldn't sleep until past 1 and we had to wake up by 3am to start prepping. I had my devotion and men and brethren, and that was when it dawned on me that I was leaving home for good! I cried at this point, c'mon, a baby girl was vulnerable to her Father ๐๐คญ(Although it wasn't funny, I was just laughing when I saw my call-up letter).
The bus didn't move early as planned, because some PCMs didn't make bookings prior to that morning. I received and made a few calls to my PCM friends who were travelling too and printed a few documents as well. We moved around 11am instead of 9am, eventually. (Remind me that we are Nigerians, again๐). Of course, my mum made sure to pray for all of us, the vehicle and the drivers.๐คญ๐
And BOOOOOOM, we were on the move! Off to Bauchi, we went.
