These masks, alongside the special effects as a whole were made for the show by @theofficialknbefxgroup @gnicotero @hoops511 I have always been a huge fan of KNBs work and it is a true honor to be able to own a production used piece from them, and personally one of the most sculpturally appealing pieces at that. Honored to be able to preserve such a phenomenal piece of art and “skinned walker” history.

It is marked inside with “61” in green marker on both sides, and it is also marked with “56” and possibly “133” in red marker written on top of a layer of thin fabric that was added into the neck it seems. From what I’ve gathered from a few people who have played whisperers, these numbers indicate which extra actor was assigned to this mask. If anybody has any information on these I’d love to hear some more, but my guess is the green writing was an actor/actress from season 9. And then this may have been recycled and used again in season 10 with a new actor/actress, hence the fabric added and new numbers in a new color?

Huge thank you to a good buddy over at Hero Prop for this piece, and this mask specifically came directly from Greg himself! To have my first screen used prop have such great provenance, I truly couldn’t be more satisfied.
