“Me”

A specific themed sketchbook by Nil Telci

There are other lives in the universe that humans are in, and all of these constitute the human being, that is, “I”. We see ourselves based on the other, but this only happens if we are conscious of this and willing to see ourselves. A person realizes himself when he is fully aware of his environment. Even though the other and the self are dependent concepts, they cannot be the same, but they are affected by each other.

Based on this, while each page points to “other”, the whole of the sketchbook (others), symbolizes “I/me”. In other words, it leads to the logic of “others”, starting from ” me (I)”; and to the logic of “me”, starting from “others.”

In this context, I created a 35x50 sketchbook by hand stitching using 50x70 sized Kraft papers.

It consists of 30 chapters in total, each chapter consisting of 2 pages. This sketchbook created as a sense of a personal diary. It represents “me” based on the “others “within it in a one month period.

(Going to post it as a parts, check my page for more)
