“Rebel”

This archetype follows a principle such as “Rules are for breaking”.
Although she seeks revenge and revolution and has the potential to create this power decisively, but still her biggest fear is being an ineffective element and being pushed aside. They are likely to harbor dark desires.
She can get wild about what she wants to do roughly. It is inappropriate at times. Can be provocative and reckless. They do not want to bow to the words of others.

The first work of my series containing 8 works, “Explorer”, is here with you🤍

200x140 cm acrylic on 210g kraft paper

The explorer says “do not stop me”.
The explorer sets out to discover the world and herself. Her main goal is to destroy her comfort zones and get rid of her ego; She wants to live a life which is more authentic and fulfilling. Being under authority and conforming to norms is one of her biggest concerns. Letting her life flow, wandering aimlessly away from the herd may describe her.
She is independent and honest.

This series that I created, which includes 8 works;reflects my journey of discovering my own self and ego, based on Carl Gustav Jung’s deep psychological theory readings. Jung’s personality archetypes are universal symbols and motifs that exist within each of us. In this series, I interpreted the basic archetypes such as Persona, Shadow, Anima/Animus and Individual Self, as well as the sub-archetypes “lover, hero, explorer, sage, rebel, caretaker, clown”, from an expressionist perspective, so to speak, in my own language.

“Me”

A specific themed sketchbook by Nil Telci

There are other lives in the universe that humans are in, and all of these constitute the human being, that is, “I”. We see ourselves based on the other, but this only happens if we are conscious of this and willing to see ourselves. A person realizes himself when he is fully aware of his environment. Even though the other and the self are dependent concepts, they cannot be the same, but they are affected by each other.

Based on this, while each page points to “other”, the whole of the sketchbook (others), symbolizes “I/me”. In other words, it leads to the logic of “others”, starting from ” me (I)”; and to the logic of “me”, starting from “others.”

In this context, I created a 35x50 sketchbook by hand stitching using 50x70 sized Kraft papers.

It consists of 30 chapters in total, each chapter consisting of 2 pages. This sketchbook created as a sense of a personal diary. It represents “me” based on the “others “within it in a one month period.

(Going to post it as a parts, check my page for more)

-All works are patented by Yıldız Technical University
