“Rainbow Bridge”
acrylic on wood
14.75” round
(2022)

Today I am releasing another artwork from my solo show “Balance & Flow” currently on display at Carbondale Civic Center through August 16th.

This work is inspired by the beautiful artwork of @allysongreycosm

I started painting this during one of the hardest times of my life, while our dog Luminosity was battling cancer. At the time I had no idea that I was envisioning the rainbow bridge where we would meet again one day. The picture above with her and the painting was taken just a few days before she passed.

I stayed with Lu everyday for the last few months of her life, and this painting was there to take my mind off of the heartbreak we were all experiencing.

There are so many memories and lessons wrapped up in this artwork, and it’s a great representation of the joy of knowing that our best friend will be waiting for us on the other side.

Swipe through and see the process of making this artwork. It is a personal favorite of mine and will always mean so much to me. Being inspired by one of my favorite artists and a memorial to our dog, Luminosity Shiva Dodecahedron.
