They call it a midlife crisis. I think I’ve just realized how much I love being alive.Los Angeles, you did something to me. Again.

I’m 57. I’ve lived a few different lives already. Raised three kids, started over, built a business with my sister, made mistakes, took risks, lost people, found new ones. And somehow, I’m still curious about what’s next.

This trip wasn’t just about fashion, meetings, finding new stores or bringing SOSUE to America. Although, believe me, we worked our asses off.
It was again about the people. Old friends I’ve known for over 30 years. New connections that somehow feel like we’ve known each other forever. Long drives, country music, ridiculous conversations, unexpected dinners, laughing until we couldn’t breathe. And my sister Vanessa, who is not just my business partner but one of the greatest gifts in my life. How lucky are we to still be building something together, while collecting stories we’ll probably tell for the rest of our lives?

Some days I’m exhausted. Some days I wonder why I keep pushing. And then life surprises me all over again.
I used to think that one day I’d have everything figured out. That I’d finally feel settled. Funny enough, the older I get, the less I need that feeling.

What I do know is that I probably have more years behind me than ahead of me. And that thought doesn’t make me sad. It makes me want to live even more.

To wear the ridiculous outfit. Feel sexy. Take the trip. Say yes. Dance in the street. Hug my friends a little longer. Appreciate the little things. And never stop being curious.

Maybe that’s what this so-called midlife crisis really is: Not trying to be younger. Not trying to prove anything.
Just realizing that life is happening right now. And I don’t want to miss a second of it.

I’m not trying to feel young. I’m trying to feel everything. ❤️

Anyone else feeling this?
