🎙️ Mark Allen on what the island taught him 🌋
If you’re waiting for the perfect moment to give everything you have, when will you decide you’re not feeling good enough?
At 90%? 80%? 60%?
That was the gift the island gave Mark Allen: learning to give his best no matter what was going on, no matter where he was placing, no matter how much faster he might have gone on another day.
It’s how he won six titles. Even in those six races, there were moments he wanted to quit and moments he wasn’t at 100%. He didn’t freak out. He knew how to keep going.
Sometimes the gifts are disguised as insurmountable challenges. 🧠

Fijne dag verder!

when I turned 26 last year (and even 25 the year before) I felt that I didn’t have much to celebrate. I was stuck in a slump with no direction and it felt like I wasn’t being an active participant in my own life. It was hard for me to find enjoyment or motivation to do the smallest tasks, and I just remember hoping and praying that things would turn around one day.

And one day they did :’) So I’m celebrating every version of myself that brought me here to my late 20’s, bc she deserves to be honored, even when she didn’t think so.

so cheers to 27 and all that’s to come!! thank you for being here xx 🫶🏼🥹💖

Our families just got a LITTLE bigger!! Happy Big Little Reveal!!🧸💓

The Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board’s move to introduce common themes for Friday sermons at mosques under its control has drawn criticism from National Conference leader Imran Nabi Dar, who questioned the role of the authorities in deciding what religious preachers should discuss.

The Waqf Board has proposed forming a committee of Islamic scholars and preachers to select topics for sermons delivered at mosques and shrines across the Union Territory. The initiative aims to bring greater uniformity to discussions on social issues, including drug abuse and women’s concerns.

Reacting to the proposal, Dar alleged that the move could allow the BJP to influence religious discourse in Kashmir.

“[The] BJP will draft Friday sermons for mosques across Kashmir. They will decide what issues our preachers will talk about, what colour they will give them and what issues are brushed under the carpet,” Dar said in a social media post.
“The content will be theirs, the wording will be theirs and the intent will be theirs,” he added.
