I am so sorry for all the things that have brought you to this dark isolating place. As a historian I know too well how the state of affairs in the 1930s made it a nightmarish impossibility to survive under a fascist and authoritarian state. What you call for (and believe me I’ve been there) is not burn both sides down, but to burn a bridge that will take decades to rebuild if at all given the well-oiled and financed machine backing Trump. They have a plan this time with concrete steps that will make our lives unbearable. Please reconsider your position.

Part of the plan for our future is prevention. A vote uncast is a vote for project 2025. The first step in us coming together and protecting each other is making sure those policies don’t have a chance at being implemented. Inaction is never the noble choice. I am trans. I will be voting blue to help protect my trans siblings from the harm Trump can and will do to us.
