6 years agoYes! This is why he is one of if not my favorite character! He has so many layers. On the outside you see cold, ruthless, angry, dark side but deep down he has only become this way because of other influences in his life. He is simply misunderstood, misguided, and in the end really just did his best to survive after being cast aside with the only means he knew, revenge, hate, anger. But he really grew through Clone Wars and we seriously got to see how complex of a character he is
6 years agoI still can't believe how much of an amazing character TCW made him into. He became this person that you can't help but sympathize with, y'know? As a kid, I saw him in TPM and like him, just because I thought he was cool. But with TCW and especially his interactions with Ahsoka in Season 7, he's developed into someone you can understand, with his own desires and relationships just like the "protagonists" have. It's not something you see frequently in the average "villain" role
6 years agocrazy how he became such an intriguing character when TCW and REBELS came out, heโs literally the best
6 years agocomplex and compelling character! One of the very best villains Star Wars has to offer
6 years agoI 100% agree! Maul is definitely my fave character. I love him because how complex he is and how he does have a tiny bit of light in him. Iโve always believed that if someone like Ahsoka or Ezra joined him, they couldโve helped him become a better person. And his ending with Obi-Wan was of the most beautiful and emotional things Iโve ever seen.
6 years agoI completely agree. Maul is a very complex and changing character-both villain and (almost) hero, light and dark. His will was very strong-strong enough to withstand years of living in mad, blind pain with a crippling injury and the loss of his people. We need Maul: A Star Wars Story or a Maul series with Ray Park!
