9 months agoHey Neal, as fellow North Carolinian I just wanted to say that I’m proud of what you’ve accomplished representing North Carolina and that I really miss you being the commentator on all the Vans Park Series events. Skateboarding has always been more of a lifestyle and state of mind rather than a sport to me and when I discovered the Vans Park Series I always enjoyed what you brought to it because you have a great deal of knowledge about skateboarding. Hope you’re doing well brother and God Bless
2 years agoWow! What a blast from the past! Back in the early 90s me and my girl Jamie (she had a shaved head back then) used to hang out up at the SPOT, in the loft till the wee hrs of the night or very early morning. I think Brian might have been living there back then. You had green hair back then and I was messing around with Scott Conklin. Lance was there, Mike Frazier, and of course Brian. It was pretty cool that things came full circle with my now 26 yr old son who loved and still loves skating there. I'm so thankful he wasn't doing what I was doing at 16 😂 I'm so glad I could pass my love for skating into him. Oh! You were the first person I saw to do a ho ho! I was thoroughly impressed. Good times!
2 years agoI’ll change bomb to 💥 boom!! Great stories Neal! I was always amazed at your 30 wall runs with bearing cover wheels
2 years agoYou guys have all the great memories at a higher level of competition! I remember leaving Eastern Vert and you were about 7 feet out on a backside air right at closing time . Someone turned all the lights off while you were that high. I just heard clank, bomb. You were so programmed to make every trick. Even in the dark.
6 years agoYes so many years of Disney/espn keeping the only black person involved behind the microphone 🤷🏾♂️ never has there been a brother in it other than street that's typical
6 years agoGreat to hear your stories. Hope you are keeping well during this crazy time.
