Thanks at @r.a.lafleur and at jordan Lee for yesterday! It was fun, even though my right ear is sunburnt! #earsunmyeye

🤫🤫🤫🤫 BE YOUR OWN HERO

The moment someone announces what “all men” want, I imagine a clipboard, a focus group, and a deeply unreliable survey conducted entirely in his own head. Thank you for the data, sir, but I did not ask for a performance review of my personality. Please forward your survey directly to the bin.

There are so many things a woman can spend her life becoming: skilled, curious, joyful, brave, financially independent, wonderfully strange. Reducing all that to a list of traits that might attract a hypothetical audience is a spectacular waste of a human life. I am a person, not a product being adjusted after feedback from the comments section.

People can have preferences. Dating involves compatibility, honesty, and learning what makes two individuals feel at home with each other. But a preference becomes ridiculous when someone presents it as a universal law and expects everyone else to reorganize their existence around it.

If I want advice, I will ask someone who knows me and cares about my growth. Until then, I am free to wear what I like, speak my mind, build my life, and take up the space my body already occupies. Anyone who needs me to become smaller before they can appreciate me has saved us both a lot of time by announcing it early.

Dubs up! #RaiderNation
