There are no words to describe what I feel about this Tweet. The floor keeps falling into a deeper abyss of Hell. The 208,000 people who have died? The countless who have potentially lifelong repercussions from this awful disease? Their families? Their friends? They don't matter at all to Donald. I'm never scared of disease. I'm the one who never cared about germs at all. Covid scares me. Covid is about the worst thing because for some it's terrible but also sometimes not bad at all. That makes it MORE dangerous, not less. Because it's just "ok" enough that people can believe it's safe. This Tweet encourages that belief. His callousness has no bounds. I have worked with people who have experienced inexplicable trauma. I have never, and I mean never, seen someone with absolutely no empathy until seeing Donald Trump. He has drained me of all my energy. I feel like my humanity is being sucked dry by his lack of regard for others. And maybe that's the point. The cruelty has always been the point. I'm genuinely terrified he wins in a month. I hope my predictions are wrong. I will never be happier than to be wrong about that. I'm not sure the world could survive another four years of Donald Trump as president.
