Reposting what has to be the most vulnerable video I've ever made as a neurodivergent person, something I love about myself but also have a complicated relationship with. Seeing Hudson Williams on The Assembly was actually weirdly uncomfortable for me because I spend so much time masking and trying to fit myself into spaces not designed for me, that seeing neurodivergence celebrated, embraced, cherished, was so poignant that it was almost hard to look at. So many of the things Hudson discussed felt so kindred to me, from being an only child to having my words taken out of context and misunderstood to his father's experiences on the spectrum...it was such a beautiful episode, and I hope everyone watches. And I wanted to share my own vulnerability again, with Hudson's incredibly kind comment that he left on this video, to celebrate neurodivergence in a moment when I'm actually doing a lot better with being on the spectrum than I was when I made this video. So thank you to The Assembly for existing and all the people so vulnerable with their neurodivergence, and to Hudson, Rachel, Jacob, and all the people giving us beautiful portrayals of people with autism. #hudsonwilliams #shanehollander #heatedrivalry #rachelreid #theassembly
Next time you’re debating ordering take out, just remember this recipe still exists. I’ve said in the past that I hate rice cookers, but I’ve totally changed my mind. They’re worth the counter space if it means one less thing to think about while making dinner. Comment RECIPE and I’ll send you the recipe and a link to the rice cooker I use.
