heather parsons

it’s missing from me
it’s an unquenchable
hunger
it aches
maybe it’s
time
what if it’s never
time
what if we never make it
back
and it’s always odd
I’m always
odd
a dissonance
that

just
stops

explodes in
silence
fire

What becomes of the ashes?

A Phoenix?

A flower?

A redemption song?

No it’s home
baby

we’re
coming
home

I need
you
to believe

come home

we can
stay
at
home

and play
