β˜€οΈ My Lord, I am sorry for taking for granted the things you hold dear in your heart. Please forgive me. Come heal our lands. I’d like to share this love letter with the world. I pray you make it possible. Let them know how much you love them as they read this. 🌹 I am singing you a sweet song of praise for all the beautiful things you have created and the Devine inspiration that has carried me through the years. Words escape me. It is so unbelievably beautiful. 🌈 Help me cherish it always. 🌸 #fbf to the 1st time I moved to NYC 3.13 This photo was taken after playing softball in Central Park. I was living in Clinton Hill and excited about the possibilities. Life has had its ups and downs since then but one thing has held true, I never give up. And neither should you. The excitement of seeing the floating bridge for the first time faded as I walked from the bus stop to the house. The never receding drizzle seeped down the ends of my hair, into my skin, deepening the heaviness that took residence in my body, molding its weight around my bones. The nightmare from that early morning crept back. It was hazy. I was staring out the window watching the plane taxi away. β€œNo!” I yelled, jolting myself awake. I squeezed my eyes shut, pushing the dream away as I reached for the front door. I walked upstairs immediately feeling the tension in the air. My aunt waited until Rod left the room and handed me a piece of paper. β€œYour friend called you. He asked that you call him back right away” she leaned in closer to me, β€œmake sure to keep it short. I don’t want to hear about long distance charges from you know who.” My hands trembled as I reached for the note. How did he find me? Where is he? Is he okay? The weight shifted to my legs, my knees buckled. Susan reached out and pulled me into her arms. Hugging me she whispered, β€œmake it quick.”. //excerpt from my book//. πŸ“·: @jackgrishamphoto . . . . . . . . #heatherparsonsβœ”οΈ #heatherparsonsauthor #author #writer #novelist #youth #love #loss #betrayal #complexity #faith #jesus #god #hope #redemption #sorrow #change #smile #bridge #transparent #raw #grit #vulnerability #strength #freedom by @msheatherparsons
