Are you interested in #placentaencapsulation?

Maybe you have read it in a blog about celebrities eating their #placenta or your friend tried it. I first learned about #placentaconsumption in 2011 while co-teaching a #birthing class with my #doula trainer. A couple had brought up how they had heard about eating ones placenta through a friend who had just given #birth and her doula made pills out of her placenta. I wondered, why would anyone do this? ⠀
⠀
As a child, I grew up eating liver with onion dinners served next to white rice and black beans because my mother believed liver gave the best #nutrition to restore my iron levels to treat my constant anemia. After some research I found that your placenta can also help with iron depletion restoration after having your #baby by consuming your afterbirth raw, in smoothie form, or by making capsules out of your placenta. I was a bit bummed to know that my first baby’s placenta was considered bio hazard waste instead of being seen as potential #healing ❤️‍🩹. Soon after, I started offering services to #encapsulate placentas for my doula clients who were seeking an alternative healing for postpartum depression, iron restoration, rebalancing hormones, and #breastfeeding production support 🤰🏻💊⠀
⠀
I also make cute ❤️ shape umbilical cord #keepsakes and #ornaments. ⠀
