Yesterday, I had the opportunity to document voices from East Harlem during Fall of Freedom — hearing local artists share who they are, where they create, and what drives their work.

And when I say artists, I mean art in all its forms — visual art, music, performance, and creative expression.

There’s something powerful about simply giving people the space to tell their own stories, in their own words. Their work carries culture, identity, history, struggle, joy and the spirit of the community around them.

This is East Harlem, told through the voices of those who create here. @falloffreedom

Today, Placenta Dasher is proud to collaborate with **Art in the Park** for their 5th Annual Back to Beautiful: Guns Down! Brushes Up! 🎨💗

While Art in the Park brings together our community with a **Back-to-School Giveaway, arts and activities, and community resources**, Placenta Dasher will be there **distributing gently used clothing for children and families** and sharing information about **placenta encapsulation, doula support, and maternal wellness**.

Went to @thewiggles concert and of course I had to make a poster 🎨

What I wasn’t expecting was for it to actually make its way onto the stage. Out of all the posters brought to the show, only a handful were selected to be displayed and read during the concert — and mine was one of them all the way from the balcony seating!! Thank you @captain.feathersword for selecting my @treeofwisdom.wiggles themed poster!!

⚡ ⚡ What’s happening with electric submetering across multiple buildings in NEW YORK CITY such as The Crossings, The Landings, The Heritage and Miles Parker all managed by C&C management and owned by L&M Properties???

Today, tenants are speaking out about concerns involving high electric bills, unclear fees, billing transparency, harassment and the financial burden these costs can place on seniors, families, people with disabilities and residents on fixed incomes. These tenants are faced with harassing and intimidation tactics by the sub-metering company Metergy which C&C management utilizes to record electricity consumption and accounting. While L&M profits from the resale of electricity to tenants.

Submetering is legal in New York, but it is regulated—and tenants have consumer protections.

🎥 @coragzone will be there as a documentary journalist—documenting what’s happening, speaking directly with tenants and asking questions about their experiences with submetering and electric billing.

The goal: hear directly from the people affected and give tenants an opportunity to tell their own stories.

**Celebrating Fathers, Family, and Community! 💙👔**

Join us for the **Annual Pre-Father’s Day Dinner Celebration** hosted by Harry Rodriguez and the Washington Community Improvement Council (WCIC).

As we honor the fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures who help shape our community, we’re also giving back by collecting **school supply donations for local children** as they prepare for a successful school year.

I am honored and grateful to share that I have been appointed as a Voting Member of Manhattan Community Board 11.

Thank you to @manhattanbp and @cm_encarnacion for this opportunity to serve the residents of #EastHarlem and District 11.

Community Boards play an important role in connecting residents with local government by reviewing land use proposals, advising on community priorities, advocating for neighborhood improvements, and providing a voice on issues that impact our daily lives.

As a lifelong member of this community, I look forward to listening, learning, and working collaboratively with residents, community organizations, fellow board members, and elected officials to help strengthen East Harlem.

I am excited to begin this journey of service and encourage everyone to stay engaged, attend community meetings, and make their voices heard.
