at 5:30 this morning, dobi lost his sudden fight with a strangulating lipoma. there are no words that i can write to explain how much he meant to me, and will always mean. we were supposed to have so many more years together, but his body betrayed him in the most evil way possible. 23 years old was not old enough. 24 hours after our last hunt together he left this world, and took my heart with him. dobi, you made my life infinitely better, and i’m so sorry that you didn’t get the death you deserved. you should have gone at a grand old age, with the sun on your back surrounded by your friends after a long and happy retirement. not in a hospital room in agony. i will love you until the world ends my boy, and i will see you again someday. i’m counting the seconds. always and forever my best and greatest friend. dobi (sole invader) 1st January 2003 - 15th october 2026
After 30 years, the identity of “Green Boots,” the deceased Mt. Everest climber turned landmark, has been revealed his name is dorje morup, an indian mountaineer who died during a storm on everest in 1996. his body was left at approximately 27,900 feet along a popular climbing route, where his green boots made him recognizable to passing climbers over the next three decades, his body became an unofficial landmark used by climbers to track their progress toward the summit he was long believed to be named tsewang paljor, another climber who died during the same expedition, until recent DNA testing of his remains confirmed his identity his body still remains on everest, with plans underway to recover his remains and return them to his family.
✨It’s here! And there’s a giraffe inside whose story I’ll never forget.🦒 My copy of Remembering Giraffes arrived today. Opening it and finding my photograph in these pages was something special. In the image, Kenya Wildlife Service vets and Olderkesi Conservancy rangers treat a male giraffe wounded by a poisoned arrow in the southern Masai Mara. He was later released back into the wild. Behind that photograph are people whose skill, care and determination gave him another chance. To see their work represented in a book raising funds for giraffe conservation means a great deal. So proud to contribute alongside this extraordinary community of photographers. Thank you to @MargotRaggettPhotography and the @RememberingWildlife team for bringing us together, and for everything it took to put this book into our hands. If you’ve been thinking about buying a copy, let this be your nudge! For the photographs, for the stories, and for the giraffes still out there who need people in their corner 💚 🔗 http://rememberingwildife.com/ *Front cover image @gurcharan . . . #RememberingGiraffes #RememberingWildlife #GiraffeConservation #ConservationPhotography #KenyaWildlife @ilcp_photographers @canonemeapro @canoncnafrica @kenyawildlifeservice @cwc.trust @ggimedia.africa

In case you missed it, take a look at this morning’s headlines. Last night, I held Kathy Hochul accountable and showed New Yorkers I’m ready to fight for lower taxes, lower utility bills, and safer streets. Swipe through the coverage. We won the debate. Now let’s win New York.
Sometimes we convince ourselves that staying, fighting for someone, and refusing to give up is a sign of how deeply we love them. But underneath that can be a much deeper struggle: not truly believing we deserve a relationship where our needs are met, where we feel loved. Do you relate to this? 🎥 @womenofimpact @lisabilyeu
