Today marks 3 years of marriage with @austinhpayne
We’ve cried more combined in these last couple weeks than ever before, but also have never leaned on each other more. Words can’t sum it up, but here’s what I’m thankful for In this year of marriage //
When I’m with austin I feel safe, like everything is going to be okay and I feel safe to be fully me, wherever I’m at. It’s an absolute gift to get to experience aspects of gods love through the tangible love of my husband.
& in this year I got to watch him be a dad. Another gift I pray I’ll never take for granted, no babies are promised, and yet we’ve been entrusted w our piper girl, our best adventure and delight and responsibility in marriage yet.
With piper, austin is silly and goofy. He will go to great lengths to make her smile (which actually is really easy to do). He is tender and gentle with her. And he would do anything to protect her from harm unless he knows it’s better for her in the long run. I love to watch austin as a dad, I am reminded of gods vast love for his children.
It is so sweet we get to celebrate these 3 years here in Italy. Adventure austin is my favorite austin— I love watching the most vibrant person I know come even more alive as we step into unknown places together. This next season feels really unknown to me, it’s only fitting I’m reminded of how much I love to do anything as long as austin is next to me 🖤
& it’s fitting to be here w dear friends. This year has shown us the power of community. & while watching austin w his guys brings me constant low level anxiety wondering what trouble they are scheming up, it brings me so much joy to watch him with friends. Austin fights for his friends. We are so blessed by you austin!
