Soha Ali Khan spotted with her daughter and mother ❤️

Never thought I’d be the person contemplating a third baby, yet here we are 😂

I always assumed I would just know when I was done having kids. Like there would be this very clear feeling of, “Yep, our family is complete.” But I’m realizing how much more nuanced that decision can be.

Because it’s not just do we want another baby? There’s the emotional side, but then there’s real life too… bandwidth, career, finances, the stage of life we’re in, the kind of parents we want to be…and about 500 other things running through my head!

I ended up writing a much more personal essay about everything I’m weighing, including a few things that were honestly hard for me to admit.

Comment “SUBSTACK” and I’ll DM you the full essay.

And I really want to hear from the moms here: Did you KNOW when you were done having kids? Or did part of you always wonder, “what if?” And for my 3rd time moms, tell me the good and the bad!

I have a feeling I’m not the only one living in this gray area 🤍

Comfort foods part 7 : steak + garlic butter hassleback sweet potato 🍠🧄🧈

This is a wholefoods recipe too 😋

Protein 60g / Calorie 706

Recipe (serves 1):
*click link in bio for full recipe details including ingredients list x

-Trim a thin slice from the bottom of the sweet potato to stabilise it, then make thin cuts across the potato without cutting all the way through. Rub with salt and olive oil and roast for 25–30 minutes at 200C.
-Mix butter with 1 minced garlic clove and smoked paprika. Remove the sweet potato from the oven, gently open the softened slices and brush the garlic butter over and between them (I saved a tad to rub over at the end too). Roast for a further 15–20 minutes until tender and crisp at the edges.
-Season the steak and cook in a very hot frying pan for 2–3 minutes per side, or to your preferred doneness. Baste with butter if you like. Transfer to a plate and rest.
-Lower the heat and cook the shallot in the same pan for 1–2 minutes. Add 2 minced garlic cloves, followed by 150ml beef bone broth (or beef stock), 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce and 1 tsp Dijon. Scrape up the browned bits and simmer for 8 minutes until reduced by at least 1/2 and glossy. -Stir in the steak resting juices, remove from the heat and swirl through the remaining tsp of butter.
-Pan fry the broccoli until just tender and charred, then season with salt, pepper and lemon juice. -Serve with the Hasselback sweet potato (rubbing over any left over garlic butter) and sliced steak, spooning the beef pan sauce over the top.
