The Volume: Afterhours

Today is a very sad day, we’ve lost a true Bay Area Legend, Steve Gaines of Zion I. Over the last 2 decades, YBR had the pleasure of supporting their albums and tours. Steve was a lyrical genius, but also a down-to-earth, thoughtful and humble and genuinely spiritual dude. Always taking the time to chat and praise and educate and share talent and gifts. Dropping wisdom like only The Greats do, never shallow fluff.
An incredible role model for artists and parents alike, Steve shined light on how to be a good and honorable human being.
Respect to family and friends during this emotionally fragile time. May we keep his spirit alive, and always remember Mind Over Matter as we move in Deep Water. #ripzumbi #zioni #hiphoplegend #bayareahiphop #stevegaines
