A year ago, I took a leap and quit my
job with no plan in place. I was practicing vinyl wrapping for a year prior to offering it to the public. It started as just a hobby because I was too broke to pay a shop to wrap my car. I almost sold the car because I was not able to afford insurance working only 20-30hrs/month with a back injury. However, people slowly recognized my work from my car and let me do small wraps on their cars such as roof wraps and chrome deletes. Til this day, my car has been the best marketing tool for me.

It wasn’t until I had my first full wrap booked where I realized I could turn it into something bigger. @bbydeane ‘s RX-8 was my first ever paid full wrap job. It took me two weeks as I was still working part-time. As soon as I was finished, I was instantly booked for my first Colorshift wrap for @dkw47_ ‘s WRX

At that point, I knew that I couldn’t be working at the job and taking my sweet time on the cars. I decided to quit and pursue wrapping. It was definitely a tiring and stressful process as I had to learn both the business aspect as well as improve my skills.

In the winter of 2020, business slowed down and I wanted to pick up window tint. It was nothing like vinyl wrap, so I had to start from scratch. Luckily, I had lots of help along the way. I spent thousands on material to practice which was a big risk at the time. I eventually felt confident enough to offer it.

Fast forward to 6 months later, I finally had my first fully booked month. It was a surreal feeling and I am only getting started with this journey. There’s definitely a lot more I have to learn and fail at in order to improve.

I just wanted to thank all of those who were supporting me along the way 🎉 My GF @chakashia and sister @xorxchel had to suffer with me since day 1. The countless hours paid off everyday though. All of the new friendships and connections were definitely worth the leap I took 🥲 I did lose some people who I were once close to, but it’s all for the better.
