Chilling with my old man on his birthday watching the game #knickstape by @successordie

41 today.
This isn’t just a video… it’s a timeline.
A collection of moments.
Still frames of a story that started long before me.
From Haiti to Brooklyn,
from my grandparents to my parents,
to my aunts and uncles, my cousins,
to my wife, my partner, my peace, my helpmate,
to my children, my legacy in motion.
Every photo holds a piece of who I am.
Every sacrifice, every prayer, every moment of love,
it all lives in me.
Some of these faces I can still call.
Some I carry in memory.
We’ve lost a lot these past few years. My father, my sisters, family that meant everything to me.
But through every loss, God reminded me that nothing done in love is ever lost.
This is what built me.
A family rooted in faith.
A foundation covered in prayer.
A life guided by God’s grace, even when I didn’t understand the path.
Through every high and every low, He was there.
Through every blessing and every hardship, He was working.
At 41, I understand more than ever that I’m not just living for myself.
I’m walking in what they prayed for.
I’m standing on what they built.
And I’m trusting God with what’s ahead.
This isn’t just a birthday.
It’s gratitude.
It’s legacy.
It’s faith.
Grateful for every moment, every lesson, every person in this story.
I carry you all with me. by @successordie

Happy Heavenly Happy Birthday to my grandfather, Nére Sejour — born May 19, 1919. He would’ve been 106 today.

They say, “Your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper.” In my family, that’s my grandfather. Everyone I admire — my aunts, uncles, and especially my mother — revered him even more than I do. The truth is, none of us would be here without him. Literally.

One of the legends passed down is that he once saved my mother’s life — and by doing that, he saved mine before I ever took my first breath. That story alone is enough to make me honor him forever.

This photo was taken on Easter Sunday in Haiti. He’s holding up a picture of me — a boy living in Brooklyn at the time. That love traveled across oceans, across generations. His legacy has always had me in its hands.

Every time I receive the Eucharist, I think of him. He never missed that sacred moment. His Catholic faith was deep — lived, not just professed. I was blessed to visit the church in Haiti where he married my grandmother… where my uncles and Aunts were baptized and received their sacraments. That place is holy ground to me.

We even share the same patron saint — St. Joseph — the righteous protector, the quiet strength behind the Holy Family. My grandfather embodied that spirit. And knowing he could speak and understand ecclesiastical Latin inspires me to this day. I strive to learn it, not just as a language, but as a way of better understanding the sacred.

His example — what it means to be a righteous man, a spiritual warrior, a pillar for your family — is everything I aspire to. I pray he’s in Heaven, resting in the same peace he so faithfully prayed over us all.

Until we meet again… thank you for setting the standard. Your hard work didn’t go unnoticed. It echoes through me, and through everyone who carries your name in spirit.

Legacy. Leadership. Prayer. Family. Faith.
Success or Die.

We often talk about “being the best version of ourselves.” But today’s reading reminded me that without virtue, I’ll always fall short—not just for me, but for those I’m called to love.

Virtue gives us the freedom to love. It’s not about performance or perfection, it’s about becoming more generous, more patient, more present—so I can give the best of myself to others.

This is why I read.
This is why I reflect.
This is why I build.

Because success isn’t just about outcomes—it’s about who I’m becoming on the journey.

Success isn’t just about what you achieve—it's about who you become in the process.

Just started reading The Art of Living by Edward Sri. It’s rooted in the four cardinal virtues—prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance. No fluff. Just a real breakdown of how to become a man of character in a culture that’s starving for it.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re grinding on the outside but drifting on the inside, this is a solid reset.

I’m not just chasing results—I’m chasing virtue.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Dad. 💔 Life’s been tough, but I feel your strength guiding me through every trial. I hold onto your words, knowing you believed in me, and I’ll keep pushing to make you proud. If you were here, we’d be at Mama Lombardi’s tonight celebrating. We miss you so much—me and the kids. Love you forever. by @successordie

Whats up Dad, I miss you. Your funeral was really difficult to attend I still can't believe it. But you looked real good in the suit Abenaa and I picked out. Your Gucci shoes were the talk of the town. I remember when I bought them last year for you, you always shy away from gifts but you were so excited when you got them you said I'm going to have to bury you in them. I'm upset you never got a chance to wear them I wanted to get you the shirt to match and we go out to a fly dinner and live life with my pops. I try to hold you down by giving you a speech during the funeral. I made some people laugh I think some cried but I really wanted people to see a different side of you. From the feedback i received i can tell it worked. You are my hero I am who I am because of you. I wanted to be just like you I wanted to have a family just like you and take care of my family just like you. Most important of all I wanted to be able to dream just like you. I didn't get a chance to mention the fact that red and black was your favorite colors reason being you said it represented the original Haitian flag didn't get a chance to mention how proud you were to be Haitian and how proud you were of your home town Grande Rivière du Nord. When you came to the shop I made sure to put on your haitian music Septentrional, Tropicana, Coupé Cloué to name a few. I'm going to miss your energy. I remember when I was deciding who to pick to be Amaury's God father. I wanted to pick you but I didn't know where you stood in terms of faith. We hardly spoke about it. So I asked you hey Dad do believe in Jesus Christ? you said yes. I asked, do you believe Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior you said yes. Then I said what about Mary you said she is the Mother God. I was sold and you passed the test and became Amaury's God Father. I got you a bible for us to read together but got so busy we never really got a chance to doing it. Im mad at myself for not doing a lot things with you. Taking more Vacations together going fishing you always criticized me for going to European countries on Vacation. You said you would love to go the jungles of Panama. Im sad I couldn't make that happen I thought I had by @successordie

To my first child, I love you, Princess. Happy Birthday. And please go read the book. A Wiseman once said, "You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read."

I miss you, and I love you. Doesn't seem real. I haven't accepted it. This weekend is going to be hard. I am relying on my faith to pull our family through. 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly dwelling,* a tent, should be destroyed, we have a building from God, a dwelling not made with hands, eternal in heaven. 🙏🏾🙏🏾 by @successordie

As for parents, don’t provoke your children to anger, but raise them with discipline and instruction about the Lord.” — Ephesians 6:4 Amen 🙏🏾⛪ <><

I came to the conclusion unfortunately only after the damage was done that all white Gucci sneakers and Dyckman don't go together. All for good cause. Early bday celebration for my bro @twntytwo_22 big shout out to @weekend_ritual for bringing these back to life. Not to mention the pick up and drop service was clutch. THANK YOU! by @successordie
