Rest easy sweet angel. #rip Carolyn Nadine Kester, my dear beautiful grandmother who passed peacefully tonight at 97. I will be forever grateful that I was able to hold her hand and look into her eyes one last time before she left this earth to be at peace in heaven. I could feel her loving soul staring back at me, as the tears came streaming down my face. I wept thinking of how wonderful she was to me and all of us, and how I loved her so very much. She was the purest example of unconditional love, and was the richest woman I’ve ever known. Simple, yet constant, a Saint, and an absolute joy to the world. Her legacy that is our family is larger than life, a legacy of true love, and kindness. This has always been one of my favorite pictures I’ve taken of her, circa 2015, from when I came to visit, and did some editing work on her kitchen table on my laptop that day. For fun I had her pose as my assistant editor. As the wind blows, such is life and death. But I know she left fulfilled, and completely whole, because she lived with her whole heart, and lived out of love everyday, always and forever. I love you Grandma.
