Above Water is one of my most intimate songs. I wrote it at a very painful time - I felt so helpless, hopeless, stuck and broken.
The experienced traumas, losses, disappointments and obstacles convinced me that I had no control over my life. So what was the point? Why trying? I had given up on life…
My self-esteem was at all time low and I started to identify with my victim mentality and eventually self-sabotaged opportunities and relationships. Luckily, I have always been surrounded by friends who would reflect the best of me and help me remember who I was, my worth, my power.
The journey towards unlearning and acceptance has been challenging but so rewarding.
I am ready to end the cycle and I can’t wait to share this one 🌊
