watch me get my sparkle back after FINALLY figuring out the power of working in seasons as an autistic + adhd girlie :) i think one of the biggest lessons i’ve learnt as a late-diagnosed autistic + adhd girlie is that my brain has two very different sides… there’s the ambitious, creative, hyperfocused side that wants to do EVERYTHING: build businesses, write books, travel the world, say yes to every opportunity and squeeze every last drop out of life 🤠 and then there’s the side that craves slowness, simplicity, routine, predictability and absolutely *nothing* on the calendar !!!! and for years, i thought i had to choose between them. but i’m slowly learning that the secret isn’t choosing one or the other - it’s giving both sides of my brain their time to shine 🌞 seasons of working hard, chasing big dreams and saying yes to exciting things, followed by seasons of slowing down, doing less, spending time outside and letting myself just exist !!!!! because the goal isn’t to build a life where i’m constantly productive OR constantly resting, it’s to build a big, beautiful life where there’s room for both !!!!! would looooove to hear if you’ve built a life around seasons too and how you’ve made it work for you <3 - #adhd #autism #neurodivergent
Kyseessä on koulun järjestyssääntöihin kuuluva ohje, josta luokanohjaajat muistuttivat yläkoululaisia alkuviikosta. Asia on herättänyt koululaisten keskuudessa vilkasta keskustelua. Porin Lyseon koulu on luvannut tarkentaa ohjeistusta. 📌 Julkaistu 16.10.2026 klo 16.05. #pukeutuminen #koulu #pori 🔎: Porilaiskoulu määräsi pukeutumaan niin, ettei kukaan loukkaannu. Yle kysyi myös Suomen muista yläkouluista, millainen nuorten pukeutuminen on hyväksyttävää. Lue lisää 👉 yle.fi ja Yle-sovellus. 📷: Minttu Villanen-Itälinna / Yle
Can we talk about DRIVING ANXIETY during PERIMENOPAUSE?! 😩🚗 Baby, I’ve been driving for over 30 years! I’ve survived Dallas traffic, construction, and people who apparently got their driver’s licenses out of a cereal box! Now all of a sudden, my brain wants to hold an emergency meeting every time I get on the highway! 😂 I’m driving 65 mph, minding my business, and my brain says, “BUT WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS? WHAT THE HELL YOU MEAN?! WE’VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR THREE DECADES! 🤣 And don’t let me get on a bridge or have an 18-wheeler pull up beside me! I’m gripping that steering wheel like it owes me child support! Here’s what nobody tells us: Fluctuating estrogen during perimenopause can contribute to anxiety, disrupted sleep, and increased sensitivity to stress. Sometimes that anxiety shows up behind the wheel! A few things that may help: 🚗 Practice slow breathing before driving. ☕ Cut back on caffeine if it makes you jittery. 😴 Prioritize sleep and manage those night sweats. 🧠 Ease back into driving with familiar routes. ❤️ Talk to your doctor about new anxiety, dizziness, or palpitations. Don’t automatically blame hormones! Between the hot flashes, brain fog, and disappearing patience, NOW MY NERVOUS SYSTEM WANTS TO BE A BACKSEAT DRIVER TOO?! Ma’am, GET IN THE BACK AND BE QUIET! I’VE GOT PLACES TO GO! 😂 Ladies, has perimenopause made you anxious about driving, especially on highways, bridges, or at night? Because I KNOW somebody else is having arguments with their own brain at a stoplight! 👇🏽🤣 #Perimenopause #MenopauseHumor #DrivingAnxiety #WomensHealth #HeyShantaQ GrownNotGone
📸: Dok. kumparan. Weird, funny dreams usually happen because the brain is mixing memories, emotions, random thoughts, and recent experiences during sleep, especially during REM sleep. The parts of the brain involved in emotion and imagery are very active, while the areas responsible for strict logic and reality-checking are less dominant. That is why your dream can calmly decide that your old teacher is now a dolphin, your house is inside a supermarket, and you somehow have a meeting in 1847. Stress, sleep deprivation, alcohol, medications, fever, irregular sleep schedules, and even something you watched before bed can make dreams more vivid or bizarre. Your sleeping brain is basically an exhausted film director with access to your entire memory archive and absolutely no obligation to make the plot coherent. Like this content?
